55 quid for a mallet? Are you having a laugh? Well, no, we're actually quite serious and let me tell you why. We get through 3-4 of the steel bound wooden mallets per year as we average about 100 erections per year - and it's growing. We don't want muscles the size of popeye so a new solution was sought - and this is one of two new mallets we have on offer. This has been trialled for a year by us with impressive results (the damaged pic is the mallet after a year's serious abuse).
This is a deadblow mallet with a 60mm head. It weighs in at a mere 1.2kg which isn't bad for a heavy duty long lasting mallet. It has a moulded handle which is patterned to increase grip.
This is now my favourite mallet and the one I personally use whereas Inga prefers the combi; so at least we don't argue over mallets anymore!
