Black is good, black is cool in the heat of the day, black is dark - which doesn't make it very good if you want a big, versatile, light tent for doing things in (like cooking at dusk). So buy white! Buy both and have a checkerboard! All the versatility of a German scout tent but lighter. Quite a few groups use a white roof and black sides as a kitchen tent as the roof gives you the extra light you want and the black sides don't show up the grease splatters anywhere near as badly (what do you mean you don't ever fry up on camp?!) Black or white, they both use exactly the same fastening system so panels are totally interchangeable. As white is not as popular, there isn't the same range of panels but if there's one you desperately want that isn't listed, just ask. We can always have it made just for you. With love.
